NEW EARTH POLLUTION UPDATE

This is the article in our local paper about us and our struggle to live near this composting plant. The smell is worse than awful and we VERY STRONGLY feel it affects our health. In fact since this article was published our son has been unwell AGAIN and had to have his preventer inhaler INCREASED.

This was their response! I think it is aimed at ridiculing us to be honest. They seem to miss the point about covering their lorries, that is meant to protects us from outbreaks of diseases such as foot and mouth and nothing to do with the putrid smell. They are playing for time now. This past week the smell has been so terrible that I have had trouble sleeping. In the evenings when the smell is at its worst, I get an upset tummy, headaches, sore itchy eyes nose and throat. The air feels oppressive and I wish I could get away from here and never come back! We are doing research into what exactly IS coming out of the stack and so far it show things that trigger asthma like fungal bacteria aspergillus and cladosporium. NOT GOOD! Silly to liken it to what comes out of carpets when vacuuming or cutting grass, we got rid of our carpets before Bernard was born, we had THAT choice.

Environmental health feel helpless and are monitoring the stink. They told us that in recent weeks they haven't rated it under 3 which is regarded as a nuiscance. The question is, will the environment agency continue to back this so the government can look good in the eyes of the EC?
